Supports cognitive function and resilience to oxidative stress.

Main Information

Methylene Blue is a potent cognitive enhancer and cellular energizer that supports mitochondrial function, memory formation, and mood regulation. Originally developed as a medical dye, it has gained attention in neuroscience for its role in enhancing brain energy and protecting against oxidative stress.

Scientific Background

Methylene Blue (MB) has a long history in medicine — first synthesized in the 19th century and used as a dye, antiseptic, and even an early anti-malarial. In recent years, it has been rediscovered for its mitochondrial-boosting and nootropic properties.MB acts as an alternative electron carrier in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, meaning it can help the cell generate more ATP (energy) — even under stress or dysfunction【1】【2】. This makes it valuable for mental energy, neuroprotection, and brain repair. It also has antioxidant properties, reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS), and may improve memory encoding and retrieval by enhancing cellular metabolism in neurons【3】【4】. Low doses have even shown potential in preclinical studies for addressing depression-like symptoms, cognitive decline, and fatigue. However, MB is dose-sensitive — too much can have paradoxical or toxic effects, so precision and consistency are essential.
