Main Information
GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine:Cu²⁺) is a naturally occurring tripeptide with a strong affinity for copper ions, found in plasma, saliva, and tissue. It plays a vital role in wound healing, tissue remodeling, DNA repair, and stem cell activation.
Clinically and cosmetically, GHK-Cu has been shown to:
- Stimulate collagen and elastin production
- Promote angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels)
- Improve skin firmness, elasticity, and tone
- Support hair regrowth by activating dormant follicles
- Reduce appearance of fine lines, scars, and photodamage
Because it works at the cellular signaling level, GHK-Cu is widely used in microneedling, injectable skin therapies, topical serums, and hair restoration protocols.
Scientific Background
GHK‑Cu is a small peptide discovered in human blood in 1973, best known as the body’s natural repair signal. Its levels drop with age, but restoring it can help the body heal and stay resilient.
- It Helps Rebuild: GHK‑Cu stimulates collagen and elastin for firmer skin, supports new blood vessel growth, and activates fibroblasts—the cells that repair damaged tissue. That’s why it’s often used in wound care and advanced anti‑aging treatments.
- It Calms Inflammation: By lowering harmful cytokines (like TNF‑α and IL‑6) and boosting natural antioxidants, it helps protect tissues from chronic stress and damage.
- It Talks to Your Genes: Research shows GHK‑Cu can “switch on” genes for repair, collagen, and antioxidants while “switching off” those linked to inflammation and scarring. In other words, it helps your cells act younger and healthier.

Usage Instructions
GHK-Cu can be administered topically, injectably (subcutaneous), or in conjunction with microneedling devices.
Topical Use:
- Apply GHK-Cu serum or solution to clean skin (face or scalp)
- Use 1–2× daily
- Ideal post-needling or cosmetic procedures
Injectable Use:
- Reconstitute vial with 1–2 ml bacteriostatic water
- Inject subcutaneously into target area (e.g. under eyes, scalp, scars)
- Frequency: Every 2–3 days or as tolerated
- Store reconstituted solution in fridge (2–8 °C)
Dosage Information
Skin Rejuvenation / Anti-Aging:
- Topical dose: 1–2% GHK-Cu serum applied daily
- Injectable dose: 0.5–2 mg SC in affected skin areas, 2–3× weekly
Hair Regrowth Protocol:
- Dose: 2 mg SC or microneedling infusion into scalp
- Frequency: 2× per week or after each needling session
- May combine with Minoxidil or Dermaroller
Wound / Scar Repair:
- Topical use daily or injected locally (1–2 mg per site)
- Pair with BPC-157 or TB-500 for deep tissue recovery
Important Warnings
- Store unmixed vials at 2–8 °C, away from light
- Reconstituted solutions should be used within 7–10 days
- Avoid contamination with metal ions (can destabilize copper complex)
- Do not use with strong acids or exfoliants (AHAs/BHAs/retinoids) on same area
- Generally well tolerated; minor irritation possible in sensitive skin
- For external or subcutaneous use only — not for IV use
