Main Information
SNAP-8 (Acetyl Glutamyl Heptapeptide-1) is a topical cosmetic peptide designed to soften expression lines and improve skin smoothness. By modulating the SNARE complex involved in neurotransmitter release at the neuromuscular junction, it helps reduce wrinkle depth without injections. Ideal for daily use on forehead, glabella, and crow’s feet.
Scientific Background
Facial wrinkles, like frown lines or crow’s feet, are caused by repeated small muscle contractions under the skin. SNAP-8 is a peptide specially designed to relax these tiny muscle movements, helping to soften expression lines without the need for injections. It is closely related to Argireline (often called “Botox in a bottle”) but has been developed for even better cosmetic performance. When used twice a day over several weeks, studies show SNAP-8 can reduce wrinkle depth and improve skin smoothness. Because it works topically and is not a toxin, SNAP-8 provides a safe, needle-free option for targeting fine lines. It can also be combined with other skin-friendly ingredients like ceramides, niacinamide, or hydrating peptides for stronger results.
